In Christina Tynkevych’s award-winning feature debut, a single mother’s dreams of living alone with her daughter slowly slip away as an unexpected event makes her reconsider her moral boundaries.

Anna (Anastasiya Karpenko), a paramedic, shares a small apartment in Kyiv with her mother, sister, and daughter Katia, hoping that her circumstances are about to change. They visit a construction site soon-to-be their dream home, and their future suddenly begins to fade away as an accident turns Anna’s life around. In this new reality, society is at its most corrupt, and Anna is forced to reconsider her ethical beliefs.

Christina Tynkkevych’s impressive debut is a multi-layered psychological drama and an exploration of state corruption’s effects on individuals’ lives.
